Meet Ricky Ricardo

Ricky Ricardo Villa, founder of Casa Sur Hacienda, was born in Mexico City, where he received his bachelor's degree in Mass Media Arts and worked at El Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, Radio Educación and the Broadway/Show Business Industry.

In his twenties he moved to New York City and lived there for 20 years, where he  embarked in a journey working at HSBC Bank, Prudential Financial, Re/Max Today, New York University, Dance Sports, Equinox, New York Sports Club, and perform as as Latin Dances & Ballroom dancer  at the Lincoln Center Midsummer Festival.  Before moving to California Ricky did a master degree in Bilingual, General , and Special Childhood Education and worked for the  New York City Public School system and some private schools as a Case Manager, and Special Education Teacher. Influenced by Intentional Communities, Ecovillages  and Artist in Residence in New York and Vermont, Ricky moved to San Diego California to find land, a property, an ideal weather, ecosystem, a ‘tribe’ and the appropriate network of people who he could create a multidisciplinary space for art, business, professional development, education, culture and support for groups and underserved communities and causes.

Now in Chula Vista San Diego, close to the biggest border in the world,  he is hosting, co-creating, and co-producing community gatherings, retreat, business networking events, artist in residency programs and supporting non-for-profit organizations with fundraising, workshops, community outreach campaigns and private events.  Ricky is a member of BNI Partners in Excellence, Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, Corazón de Vida San Diego Chapter, National City Chamber of Commerce, and Core Power Yoga. He does open water swimming in La Jolla, road bike and continues dancing and teaching privately.
