Experience Description

Led by Jessica Escárcega, founder of Xocolatl House, these workshops celebrate cacao as an ancestral ingredient and a living part of Mexico’s cultural heritage. Xocolatl House creates Mexican cacao products with purpose, honoring tradition while supporting a community of 12 women cacao producers in Tabasco who cultivate cacao responsibly and protect local ecosystems.

Our mission is to preserve Mexican history, flavors, and techniques while showing how cacao connects wellness, community, and land. Each workshop guides participants through ancestral preparation methods, from roasting to grinding, and explores the health benefits, cultural importance, and environmental care required to protect the cacao tree for future generations.

These workshops offer a meaningful experience where tradition, wellbeing, and sustainability meet.

Jessica Escarcega

Xocolatl House was born from Jessica’s journey to find the finest cacao in Mexico. While traveling through southern Mexico, she encountered a collective of women farmers in Tabasco who continue to honor ancient cacao-growing and processing methods. Their commitment to preserving tradition and unparalleled craftsmanship inspired Xocolatl House’s foundation.

Today, we exist to share Mexican cacao’s authentic flavors and stories with the world. By bringing these traditions to the forefront, we hope to create a deeper appreciation for cacao’s cultural and historical significance while offering a product that is as nutritious as it is delicious.
